Mike Sayre

Mike Sayre is a media composer living in NYC. He strives to fuse a classical musician's training and nuance with a modern technological approach, drawing inspiration from old and new alike. Mike is the EtM/ConEd Composer-in-Residence at the Queens Museum for 2018, and has worked on multiple independent film and web productions in the New York area.

In 2017 he released Music for Icebergs, an ambient album about climate change. He also creates music for nonprofit and corporate clients, including Sesame Workshop, Equinox Fitness, Grace Institute, and Waitlist Zero. Before striking out as a freelancer, he worked as a music technician for series TV on Showtime and CBS. Mike holds a Bachelor of Music and Media from Ball State University, and a Master of Music from Rutgers University.
