Trevor Martin
Trevor Martin has directed and produced award winning documentaries and distinctive commercial content for top distributors, brands and nonprofits around the country. His feature films have appeared in theaters and film festivals around the world; been broadcast on HBO, Showtime, Epix, Fusion, and Netflix; and featured in The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Vice, and ESPN. His first feature documentary, Ballplayer: Pelotero (2012), was filmed on location in the Dominican Republic for 9 months, and follows two teenage baseball players navigating the world of MLB recruitment on the island. It was named a “Critic’s Pick” by the New York Times, The Washington Post and New York Magazine, as well as called the “7th best baseball film of all time” by Bleacher Report. Another feature documentary, Schooled: The Price of College Sports (2013), examines the NCAA’s treatment of college athletes through a lens of human rights and economics. The film broke several national news stories, which were featured on the front web pages of ESPN, CBS Sports, and Sports Illustrated. Martin has also worked extensively creating content for a diverse array of clients including: Delta, Ford, Under Armour, Adidas, Teva Pharmaceuticals, WeTransfer, The New York Times, Goodwill Industries, ESPN, L’Oréal, Condé Nast, Time Inc. Studios, and Vox Creative, among many others.
