Tom Tierney
Tom Tierney is a New York City based sound recordist, specializing in documentary film and music production.
Tom has worked on such films as HBO's "The Inventor," Netflix's "Get Me Roger Stone," HBO's "Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind," and Netflix's "Dirty Money" series. In 2018, Tom received a Cinema Audio Society (CAS) Award for his work on HBO's "Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge."
Tom began his career recording music, and is co-founder of Brooklyn recording studio Spaceman Sound, where he continues to make records for bands and composers. The studio also provides voiceover, ADR, re-recording mixing, and score recording services for filmmakers.
Outside of recording audio, Tom is an avid guitarist and songwriter. He has played in a number of bands over the years - Tidal Arms, Suncruiser, Big Tree, Landlady, Julie Christmas, Red Sails, Warship, Firemaid, Fayaway, and Katie Von Schleicher, among others.
Given a day off, Tom will still find a way to point a mic at something.
